Each year, one of our brewers takes off for a certain week-long “experiment in temporary community.” Their camp centers around a rug, long ago donated by a campmate. So, when a large root beer producer took issue with the former name of this amber ale, we were inspired to drop the MUG and instead celebrate this infamous RUG. With its carefully balanced malt and gentle hops, this beer is a joy for any palette. It really does tie the room together.
